Just how hot does the Gigabyte GV-R677SL-1GD HD 6770 run?

The title tells the tale. I wouldn't have the huge heatsink blocked by another card and I would have lots of airflow in the case, but do I have to fear meltdown to China? 😀

i reviewed it a couple of weeks ago versus the HIS IceQ Turbox Hd 6770 and versus the EVGA GTX 550 Ti. As long as you have decent case airflow, you should be fine.
These temps were with the card stock and overclocked and also on a warm day with ambients hovering around 80F - i also used it as the top card in a CrossFire configuration with the HIS 6770 and temps were decent.

Actually if you are looking for "dead silent", it isn't .. there is a bit of electrical noise that you can notice in an otherwise completely quiet PC.

Frankly, i'd love to strap a couple of VGA fans on it and go for a real overclock
