just how fast will infineon 3.3ns ram go?

im looking to overclock my radeon 9500pro.

stock speeds are core: 275, memory :270 (effectivley 540)

the card is reference design, the HSF is standard stuff with ATI plastic fan

i already have had it up to 315 core and 305 memory and no artifacts yet, but can the chip n ram go any higher?

its the same chip as in a 9700 so should it be capable of the same speeds?

thanks

Just keep trying until you get artifacts. Run 3dmark and see if it produces any artifacts - this is pretty intensive and after running continuously the card will got hot and really tell you if you get any artifacts. Increase speed by about 10 mhz.

The RAM is rated at 300MHz, so you should def. get that. Just keep pushing until you get lock-ups/artifacts.

Just in case your wonderin Otis, to get the reated clock speed, find the reciprocal of the memory rating x 1000 (1/3.3x1000) which gives 303Mhz. But usually when RAM chips ar manufactured, they dont start out aiming to make a 3.3ns chip. They just make em and then depending on how fast they'll stabely run at, they rate 'em. So like you've been told already, push up the speeds and see how fast it'll go. If you can, install the Omega Catalyst drivers, they have an artifact tester yu could use to determine your best OC. Ensure you got good case cooling though, coz you aint got any RAM sinks.
