Just hosed BIOS on motherboard-What can I do?

Ok, so I was trying to flash the BIOS on my Asus A7V from 1002 to 1007. I booted off a floppy, ran aflash with no problem, and saved the old BIOS off to the floppy (also with no problem). I rebooted (just to be safe), went back into aflash, and went into the BIOS update menu. I gave it the filename of the new one, and off it went. It told me it was erasing the old one (which completed successfully), then started installing the new one. It got about halfway done and then locked up. The keyboard was totally unresponsive and the indicator froze. The floppy access light was still lit but there was no activity. I let it sit for over 15 minutes hoping it would come back, but nothing. Not knowing how to recover, I attempted to reboot, hoping I could boot from the floppy and restore the old one, but now when the system starts I get a black screen. It won't even load the video BIOS before getting to the main BIOS. So, what can I do? Am I totally screwed? Or is there a way to recover from this? This board is in my server so it's not like it would be a total disaster if it's hosed, but I'd rather not spend even more on this money pit. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You've probably damaged your BIOS chip. I don't think that yours is soldered into the motherboard, so it's probably replaceable. Here's one option. You might be able to get a new BIOS chip from Asus.

It seems your best chance is replacing the BIOS chip. If not through ASUS, ask the retailer where you bought the board.

There are a couple of BIOS issues with the A7V (like being unable to boot after flashing to 1009), but this is almost definitely a bad flash.

i screwed up the bios update on my K7S5A .... lucky for me, I was able to put a good bios on a floppy disk, name it "AMIBOOT.xxx" and it automatically flashed it when i started my computer.

If you have AMIbios you could probably do the same?
