I was curious to see if Gateway notebooks were like dell's (dell's have mounted CpU's.). Here is the response I got, "The motherboard on any notebook on the market has integrated video and sound cards. " So i guess they don't have a removable videocard, and from that answer, I am guessing that there is no mounted CPU....arggg....I really wanted that 15.7" display too:(

The motherboard on any notebook on the market has integrated video and sound cards.

You must have dialed schmuck support. That is utter BS.

All notebooks I've looked at recently have integrated video and audio. Can you point out a single one that doesn't?

Dell Inspiron 8000/8100/8200 comes to mind. The sound is integrated, but the video is not. You can replace the video module and order the part direct from Dell.

the 4000 series does have a seperate video card but it is not sold without the motherboard as well for some reason according to the people at delltalk.
