Just had a Flash advertisement scare the Bajeebas out of me...

...by playing very loud gunshot sounds. My speaker volume happened to be very high. Not good for my post-tramatic stress syndrome. Not good at all.

As if most flash ads weren't annoying enough...they're now using sound effects. Anyone know of a util that nukes all flash ads?

At the final blow? The ad was for a crappy old game call Desparados. :|

lol.. when i had my klipsch's i had the sub set up right in front of me on my desk at chest height.. i had just got em so the bass was cranked ass was the volume.. i was doing some tests of sound software, and there was one called cannon.. not thinking i clicked.. and a cannon shot rang out blasting my ears and my chest with a wave of power.... im rambling, but i know what yer sayin my shirt was blowing around from the wind created and i almost crapped myself

i was just at the ign site and then out of no where my screen sort of shakes like it was being degaused and then i hear "Bow your head!". I thought it was satan talking to me. IT was actually a planet of the apes ad.

That reminds me of an early scene from Back to the Future where "Alex P. Keaton" hooks up his guitar, cranks the amp volume and rips a chord...the 4 foot speaker's shock wave tosses him across the room. "Whoa!"

Speedvision had one that would dim the screen to total darkness and then bring it back to normal. I forget what exactly it was for, but that scared the piss outta me. My monitor was already on it's last legs and I thought that it had finally gone kapoot before I had a chance to order a new one online.
