Just had a concussion

I dropped a bar of soap in the shower. Stood up fast and slammed my head into the hot water faucet. I saw a flash of light and I fell down. Got up, shut off the shower, stumbled out into the bedroom and fell down. The room was spinning and I felt really tired, like I had to sleep. I also felt like vomiting. Felt like the hangover from hell. I forced myself to stay awake, and it pretty much cleared up after about 15-20 minutes. Now I just have a really bad headache.

That's kind of funny, in a sick, twisted way. Haha that would be good in a movie, without the nudity. You might want to have a doc check it out, just in case.

<smokey>you got knocked the fuuuuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkkkkkkkk out, man!</smokey>

serious note: glad you ok. too many of those and you will wind up seeing a neurologist.

At least you didn't learn about dropping the soap the other way. 😉

Glad you're okay...concussions are no fun. After my first one, I apparently spent the next 30 minutes asking "what time is it?".

painful isn't it?

My first concussion was a bike accident going downhill, long ago before they mandated bike helmets for everyone. Woke up on the way to the hospital

Get checked by a doc, or at least give one a call. Head injuries can be tricky.

definitely go get it checked, I have had 7. You may be fine now, but once you fall asleep you might not wake up once your brain swells and presses against your skull.

I never really knew that a flash of light = concussion. I was beaten in the head with a surge supressor repeatedly while my brother was in a mad rage. I've had memory problems ever since.

Is there anything I can do?

Don't be so sure you have a concussion.

I had a 1/2" thick glass vase broken over my head followed by an end table broken there too. Knocked me down to my knees, but they said no concussion.

RIGHT AFTER you punched me in the head causing the exact same flash of light described by the OP. I even described it to you right there on the spot while I was still blinded. "I can't see." I was blinded for several seconds and as soon as I could see again I made sure you knew how serious it was. I fully described the flash of light followed by dizzyness and temporary blindness immediately after if not during the incident and all along since then. Now you indirectly say that you saw the flash of light too. I was wrong to do it, but you are FAR from innocent and in some ways deserving of it.

Plus, you've totally ignored my complaints about the same memory problems all along. Either it's genetic (We are twins) or you have no right to complain after causing this to happen to me also. I can't believe you twisted and distorted your own perception of this all along and still refuse to accept any fault. Is there anything you can do? You can start by remembering the events of that night accurately. I immediately recorded them in writing and remember EVERYTHING about what happened with 100% accuracy, though I am now so "senile" and absent-minded that I doubt my ability to work many future jobs.

BTW, because you brought it up in public and never talk about it at home (You always start trying to change history into "your version", which is ridiculous, years after I recorded the exact events), I may as well discuss it here and explain that this was at least two years ago or more for those "seeing this".

Stop the bickering or I'm turning this thread around right now!

dude, go to the doctor for heaven's sake. I've had a few concussions too, and I know the feeling of being so tired and just wanting to sleep. Of course, going to sleep is the worst thing you could do. Go get that checked out now.
