Just got Vonage

Well just got my new telephone set al up with the Voice over IP with Vonage And let me tell you it is sweet.....

If I didn't have DSL I'd consider getting Vonage or packet8.net

Packet 8 ok little cheaper but no 911 worth it for the family to have 911

Interesting...I could use it here at home, since the cable's rock-solid with WideOpenWest (not with Comcast anymore!!)...and we have good bandwidth too.

I had it for a while and then cancelled it for a number of reasons, however none of which were related to the service provided by Vonage. It was cake to setup, worked perfectly over verizon DSL, and i didn't have any problems with lag. If I didn't have DSL and had cable instead, I would keep vonage with my cell phone (to make 911 calls), and I'd be in great shape.

911 is like an insurance policy. you are willing to pay for it but hope not to have to use it.

Fortunately our cell phones can still dial 911 so we have that covered.
