Hi... just picked up Abit Siluro Geforce4 Ti4200 64 MB 8x AGP Video Card

Also have--
AMD Athlon 1800+XP (1.53 GHZ)
512 DDR Ram
80 Gig WD 7200 RPM HDD
40 Gig WD 7200 RPM HDD
DirectX 9.0a
Windows XP Professional
SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Gamer Sound Card
Abit Siluro Geforce4 Ti4200 64 MB 8x AGP Video Card

On 3DMark 2001 my BM are--

W/ Minimum options (no AA, 16 MB Double BUffr)
1024 x 768 x 32
Benchmark: 8859 (3174 on old Geforce2 MX400 video card)

W/ Maximum Options (6X Anti-Aliasing, Triple Buffer, 32 MB tectures)
1024x768x32
Benchmark: 4852 (953 on old Geforce2 MX400 video card)

these are significantly better than my Benchmarks w/ my Geforce2....but r they high enuf? whydya think?

also i downloaded 3dMARK03...wow that was crappy lol w/ the default options my Benchmark was 1330 lol it seemed like i was gettin an average 10 FPS and the people were so choppy...but on 3dmark2001 it looked really good

Look at my hardware. I broke 13000 with my P4. My other friend with the same card and a dell 8200 (P4 2.4GHz 400FSB) broke 11k.

I think everyone disables the sound. Make sure your tweaking your driver (disable vsync in Dx & GL, No AA, etc.). Disable Antivirus, Software Firewall, everything while running 3dmarks. You want it clean while running.

You should hit 10 000 with all default settings. Disable anything that is running in the background and try again.

thanks... i was readin stuff about overclocking--- -the default clock speed is 250 and the default memory speed is 500--- i OC'D it to 280 and 550...ran 3dmark and got 9162....not that big of a difference...and dont wanna hurt the card...so i put the clock back so now its at 265 and 525

i get 8950 on 3dmark w/ default settings and all programs off

wut u think?

I think your scores are fine. They're a durn site better than my 4500, heh. What's more important is how do your games play on your new card, especially compared to your old one?
