i know there has been some earbud threads for people in the market so i figure i'd chime in. Recently my e2cs started crapping out, the sound would just cut out and back in again randomly. They'd work when the device its plugged into and my head were stationary but any kind of movement like walking basically made it go nuts. My friend suggested the CX300s because of their price so i bought a pair. Well they came in today and so far I'm liking them quite a bit. CX300

Pros:
1. I'm not a big audiophile so i can't speak to the finer points of the audio difference but i definitely ntoice a stronger bass, which has been a complaint of the e2cs.

2. The J wire style. I can wrap it around my neck, letting me take the headphones on and off without worrying about anything. I use to unplug my e2cs and have them drape on my ear, which made me look... odd

3. Regular headphone style. I prefer the standard design where the wires go down frmo the ear rather than up and around like the shures.

4. Cheaper than e2cs.

Cons:
1. Wires much thinner. the wires are definitely much thinner than the shures so I'm worried about possible tearing. Also im not sure why Sennheiser decide to use this stretchy rubber to line their wires, seems counterintuitive.

2. The plugs that came didn't fit my ears. The meds were too small and the large was too big so i couldn't get a good fit in my ear to block out the sound. But luckily i just use the black plugs of my e2cs and everything was good.

All in all i really like these and plan on using them for my audio devices. Although now i dont have any black plugs for my e2cs. Anyone have a couple extra they can spare?

I have have had a pair for about 6 months and I like them; sound is definitely better than my previous Sony EX-71s. The only problem is that I think they're getting dirty from being in my pocket every day; now the right earbud is noticeably louder than the left one and I don't see any easy way to clean it.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?
