Took me long enough!
There are some incredible variations/remakes of some really good tunes.
The tracks don't sound like they're from the 60's, big, clean.. full sounding.. very nice.

Any Beatles Fans?

The Beatles were/are easily the most influential group of the 20th Century. Remastered tunes are always great; as long as they didn't change the "layout" of the song.

I wouldn't say I like every single tune they made, but easily 75% of them. Is the Anthology the 2-disc set or the big, big box set?

I'm sportin' the 6 CD set. :)
Its amazing how they've kept the same layout/feel to so many tunes on here, but made some really cool changes.

To mention just a few...
And Your Bird Can Sing
Good Morning Good Morning.. its like, heavy. :)
I'm so Tired.
Sgt Pepper's..
Free As a Bird

Those ones were really cool just because of how well they've been remastered.. and they're different. Really cool. I'm happy.

There are some great versions of thier songs on the Anthology. I have a lot of Beatles bootlegs but the Anthology versions are cleaned up and remixed. Some of my favorites are on Disc 3, including Sexy Sadie, George's acoustic While My Guitar Gently Weeps and All Things Must Pass, I've Got A Feeling, and The End.

Very nice! I may have to pick it up...of course I already own 4 Beatles CDs...but I'm sure the Anthology sounds better. :)

Dwell... I'm really surprised, but today is the first time I've heard "I've Got A Feeling". I don't know how I hadn't heard it before.. but its very cool. Learning how to play it, ATM.

MichaelD, its worth it just for the sound quality, some tracks are unreal.

I just really started listening to the beatles recently (They were technicly before my time, so I never got around to listening to them), however I'm really liking what I'm hearing now. Espically the later stuff, and espically abbey road :)

Haha, I am learning Dig a Pony while we speak, great song. The stuff off of Let It be is great material. Paul wanted it to sound like live rock but the project got messed up and eventually Phil Spector got a hold of it and made the mess that is the final album.

The Let It Be stuff on Anthology is a hint as to how it was supposed to sound. They are supposed to re-release Let It Be, minus the cheesy Spector production and call it "Get Back". I can't wait for that, it's was supposed to come out sometime this year.

The Anthology.. Ahh.. The only reason I kept my LaserDisc player around. Once the DVD came out, I got to retire the old LDs. And it needed it, since I must have watched it 20 times.

The Beatles = Best. Band. Ever.

some awesome tunes but I can only listen to them for about 45 minutes before they all start to sound the same.

best appreciated when not all listened to at once.

Here!!

The "Invasion" took place shortly before I got drafted for Nam.
My best friend at the time (still is, actually) was born in England and had only been here for a few years.
We had some very 'interesting' discussions about the relative merits of the Beatles vs. established US rock groups
