Yes I know what a lot of you non-audio nuts are thinking... $140 for earphones are you flippin nuts? Well yes, but I'm still very impressed. I've tried many earphones in all sorts of price ranges and these are by far the best I've used to date.

IMO totally worth the money if you have an MP3 player with custom EQ capable of shaping the sound to your liking. I'm a bit of a bass-head so I've had to EQ the low end up a lot compared to my old Hippo VBs, but once there I still hear enough kick but have substantial clarity across the rest of the spectrum. It's fantastic.

I just picked up a pair of these for under $40 and couldn't be happier. Great range, great bass, comfortable and the price was right!

You say you've tried many types of buds, how do these compare to the S4s? I don't bat an eye at $140 for headphones, but I want the quality to back it up. What type of music do they handle best? My musical tastes run the spectrum, whatever types it handles best just helps me get my mind around how they 'sound'.

Not familiar with S4s. Are they Shure brand? I know of SCL4s from them but that's the closest I can think of.

edit: I see they're klipsch which I'm not familiar with. I know they're usually know for similar clarity so the sound may be similar. However I can say from pics that I prefer the PFE shape and they look like they'd fit better than the s4.
