Just got Sirius

Just got Sirius Satellite.

I got the Audiovox PNP2 receiver with the mobile and home kit.

I'm going to be activating it around 8 or so.

I'll be ordering a new radio for my car with aux inputs tomorrow. I'll probably install that on Saturday.

I'll probably get new speakers in a month or so.

I'll be posting pictures of the install as well.

YOU DA MAN NOW DOG.COM

I got sirius about 4 months ago, same unit you did. Then a week later bought a headunit from Crutchfield, put that in my truck. I have the PNP hooked up into the line input on my sound card, and am sitting here now listening to HAIR NATION baby!!! I ran the antenna out through a window and mounted it right at the corner of the house on the west side where the roof meets the sidewall.. Perfect reception all day. Don't forget to call them and tell them you have more than 1 unit, or they will keep charging you $13 for each one. The 2-5th units are only $6.99...

I only have 1 unit with 2 kits.

I just need a radio that provides me with Fox Sports! Ahhhh it seems like it's better to just by a home version of this as opposed to paying Jim Rome just to listen to his show over the internet.

I've seen the home version of these radios in commercials but have never seen one in a store, so I didn't know if they sold them just for home or not.

Is it true that songs repeat all the time way too much on Sirius?

Doesn't seem like it yet.

The setlists seem to be pretty big and occasionally, a song might be played twice maybe within 2-3 hours, but I can't confirm that yet, it's still too early. I've been listening to one station now for about 5 hours and have not heard a repeat yet...that should give you an idea...

How much can I get one of these for if I only intend to use it in the office? (Don't want it in the car)

Probably $150. 99 for the unit and then another $50 for the home kit (which you can use for work). If you are an actual business using it (I guess you register under your business name and have it pay for it, then you have to pay like $25/month or something.

If you decided you wanted it in your car, then you could just pay another $50 for the car kit.

I guess you can always just buy the receiver ($99), activate it, and use the internet streaming (which is free with activation) at work if you are allowed.

I haven't tried that yet though.

Sometimes I hear the same song like two days in a row on a few stations. But there are so many that it doesn't bother me at all.

These are very rough and the location will move a little. I also need to clean up the wires...
