No probs speed, just trying to change a misconception. You can always try 20 miute samples at the Sirius website. It's a live sample of what everyone else is hearing and you can keep refreshing it every now and then and listen indefinitely. I did that for a month before I decided to go for it.

You can cehck out any special weekly shows on their program lineup on their website as well. Backspin was not the name of the DJ, but rather the name of the channel. I am sure that you will find what you are looking for regadless.

Give it a shot...it's free!

Having local stations on satellite would be counter productive. The whole reason I(and many subscribers) switched to satellite was to avoid commercials. Local stations can't broadcast commercials to non-local markets. You have to fill it with blank space. So, you'd have 15 minutes of music followed by 15 minutes of white noise, or however long the commercial break was.

Annoying for the broadcasters to edit out, and even more annoying as a listener.
