I'm building a new system and I ordered two DIMMs of Kington 128 MB PC133 CAS-3 <-
. I decided to take one of the sticks for a spin on my old computer, which is a P200, though I don't know the motherboard (any help in identifying it?). Currently I have two 32 MB DIMMs in the two available RAM slots. I took both out and tried the RAM in both slots, and both times the computer would not boot - nothing would come on the screen and it would keep beeping, signifying that it was not detecting any RAM I assume. Does the BIOS/motherboard not support the RAM, or is there another problem? Is it possible that the RAM is defective or that I might have killed it with a static charge? I highly doubt the second as I was very careful with the RAM, but it is a possibility. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
