I fell for it before this one only ask login and password. I was too curious to see how come I get a strike for unpaid item. needless to say, I just changed my password.

Yet the spoofs are more clever but I just check the URL of the link, its usually an IP address or some other crazy site.
 
Yeah, My GMail account is getting loaded with these things.

Considering I have neither an eBay or a PayPal account, I just send everything with those two words directly to the trash.

GMail Phishing Filter FTW. :thumbsup:
 
It's weird that the item you failed to purchase is a .22 rifle, something that would never be sold on ebay.

not really. I looked up the item by the #, then I realized it wasn't something I bidded on previously. so when i back to that email and see what's that link for. bam.......friiking scammer. so i just go to change my password.
