just got new router, now Outlook Express is locking up when I try to check my mail

Hey guys. I just picked up a Linksys router today, and installation went smooth. Now, when i try to get my Outlook Express 6 to check for messages, it quits responding completely. I am assuming it's something with the connection, but everything looks fine in the settings. Any suggestions?
