just got new motherboard have a question?

My MSI nforce 2 just came today an upgrade to my kt333 board , i was wondering it i need to clean if the heat sink and add new heat sink paste of could i just transfer

it over as is , i dont have any heat sink paste so if i need it whats the best?

I would save yes clean of the old and install some new stuff, now as far as the brand goes last time I check it was artic silver, but now if your patinece are short and you dont feel like waiting on this, if you cant get it local I would still clean it off and apply some generic stuff like the radio shack brand.

clean it off of both definately, i usually wipe it down lightly to get most residue off then use rubbing alcohol to get it nice and squeeky clean.
