Just got my X800XT!!

Just built a new A64 rigg around a sapphire x800xt. Got 23K in 3dmk2K1, 11K in 2K3. This is insanity, never seen the nature test at 200fs. Never seen Farcry at 2048x1536!! Heck, never played with AA! Considering that my previous card was an oc'd R8500 LE, this is awesome. Tempted to OC, but i'll just enjoy some high rez AA'd gaming for now. If you haven't realized, this post is simply a rant. Sorry if you expected something else.

considering how expensive and how rare the x800 xt's are dont overclock it. it will only net you 5fps at most. overclocking your cpu would be more worthwhile imo.

Ahh, well the X800XT are coming back to stock at a decent rate, at least the OEM ones..
while the X850XT are breaking grounds into retailers... at a mammoth price for now, but as we all know it will drop drastically when availability increases.

I'm one of those 7 people also. 😀

To the topic starter, I'm building a similar system. I'm going with the 3200+, MSI Neo2 Platinum, and I already bought my Sapphire X800XT. How is your system running?

if you oc your cpu you will get better results than oc your video card. I have realized that oc cpu can give like 10+ while oc video card is only like 5 fps max

Well, about availability, it's been in stock at zipzoomfly for over a month str8. Just installed NFSU2, never seen this thing run so smooth with all details max and high rez. This is $470 well spent!!! And HL2...... oh man, what can I say, simply beautiful. You know, it's one thing to read reviews and look at screenshots and demo videos, but it's a totally different thing to actually see it in action! Plus, i recently upraded to a 21", perfect!

got mine for $419 after tax at microcenter in fairfax. they might actually have some instore in the backroom. i had to ask a salesman to find it because they do not have it out on the show floor.

Well, for those who can walk up to store and buy one, be ye greatful. I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I had to get someone to buy the card for me in the US and fly it over!
