I honestly was not expecting to be blown away based on the reviews that are out there for this monitor. Maybe I was lucky and got one with no defects because this monitor is simply stunning. I'm sitting here typing this at 1920X1080 on a 37" screen. My 17" dell laptop has a 1920X1200 resolution, but it can't even began to compete with this baby. I paid $899 plus shipping for this monitor. A Dell 30" will cost you more than this. Go out there and buy this monitor, you will not be disappointed.

Watching DVD's using Theatertek+FFDSHOW with resizing up to 1920X1080 is a sight to behold. I can only imagine how good it will be once I get HD-DVD and HD cable installed.

Are they any good for gaming? What is the response time on that?

They work fine for gaming. 8ms, IIRC.

Well, I won enough to buy this puppy today playing cards, so I'm in...

Tried to get BestBuy to pricematch ShopKo's price of $899, to no avail. The nearest ShopKo is 3 states over and they would have price matched, had there been one of these monitors IN THE STATE OF TEXAS where I live. Amazing.

The cheapest REPUTABLE place that has these, as of the last week is samsclub.com.

You're looking at @$1200 after shipping and tax. Bah. I was one of 16 people who had our orders canceled from J&R the night it went down to $899.

That being said, if anyone sees this cheap, PLEASE lemme know!

Sam's ran it for <1k for a while, don't know if they still do. It's definitely a display to hold out for a bargain on.

When I installed my w1 I had a 19" LCD that promptly went to my mom. Fun stuff.

Ordered my LVM-37W3 last Saturday night from Crutchfield, arrived Friday via Eagle Freight. (I am in Central FLA) Friendly, quick service, and just in time for the weekend! This baby is amazing, I think I am in love!

I apologize for the quality (or lack thereof) of my pics, I don't have the best Digicam coupled with my horrible knowledge of how to take good screenshots. Enjoy!

Right here.

This is the same wall-mount I used for my 37" Westy, and now it holds my 42" Westy. This was just the first place I pulled up in the search, but you can buy it anywhere... mine actually was found on the shelves at Best Buy.

This mount articulates in every possible direction, tilts forward, pulls away from the wall for easier angling and wire access, and looks great. The only downside is, during installing the wall mount, the math is a bit trickier because the mount doesn't attach to the wall directly behind the center of the TV due to the swivel arm.

Do you guys surf/word process, etc on this monitor? Or is it just for gaming, movies, etc? I game a little but don't watch any movies on my PC. I was thinking about a new 24" widescreen, but would consider this for a few bucks more.

i got the westy wlvm-w3 and the scetpre naga. i'm leaning towards keeping the sceptre and returning/selling the westy although ideally, i'd like to do the opposite because of price and ease of return.

i know its not an apples-apples comparison price wise as the westy has no tuners but i think the PQ, especially in 2D, is superior on the sceptre. both look great in games but what 1080p 37" won't :p

I do everything on mine, that was the point in getting it.

Work, play games and watch movies.

I originally bought mine to be the TV for the entertainment room. Primarily movies and cable TV and such. I then added my PC into the setup, so now I use it for everything... games, spreadsheets, DVD's, cable TV, whatever. For netsurfing I use a separate computer in another room because I haven't yet set up the wireless internet.
