Okay i started using Turbo tax online to efile, like I did last year. Unlike last year it asked me if i recieved a state or local refund in 2002. I did get a 62 refund from the state last year, but it asks me for payer info and federal and state ID numbers, I don't know these, should I be expecting to get form 1099-G fromt he government, is this form sent to everyone that got a refund last year, or what?

I don't think so, maybe in some cases, but I don't think it applies to this sitiuation, thanks though

I have continued on with my filing and will go back once I find my answer, but now I am towards the end and it asked me if i need to fill out a report for shared support of a dependant. It uses a parent as an example. I was wondering if my child applies. I ahve a 16 month old whom I and his mother equally support, We are not married, we live together and I will be claiming my son on my taxes, she won't be, do i need to fill this thing out, or does it not apply to me.

Dang aren't there any tax people in here, there sure where last year when i did taxes, they helped a lot. I'm just wondering if everyone that got a state refund will get the form 1099G or if its just special people. I know what my state tax refnd was last year, but it also wants the payer info which it don't know.

Okay, I think i solved my other problems, but now it is trying to make me pay for using the service, even though I make less then 27,000.00 a year and I qualified for thr EIC. I was watching and it seems to automatically switch from Basic to premeire when I answer that i also used the service last year, is the free thing a 1 time only deal? I would ask turbotax, but they charge for tech support
