Just got my second Replay TV - a Replay TV 4504 :D

Replay TV and Tivo ABSOLUTELY ROCK!!!

My parents have had Tivo ever since it came out and I bought a Replay TV (Panasonic Showstopper 3000) shortly thereafter. I will never get tired of it. I think it is one of the best electronics purchases I have ever made.

Both the Replay TV and Tivo are excellent, but I prefer the Replay because it organizes shows. Either one of them is worth purchasing.


My new Replay TV 4500 (ya, a few years old - but still new in box from Ebay) arrived today and I hooked it up. I, of course, turned commercial skip on. OMG, it's the best feature ever. Now, I don't even have to click a few times to make those horrible commercials go away. I put the Replay 4500 in my bedroom since I can now fall asleep to a show without worrying about the loud commercials waking me up.

I personally promise that anyone that purchases a Tivo or Replay TV will be happy with it if they are used to watching TV without it. There is no going back!!!

Has anyone here bought either and been unhappy with it?

EDIT: You can no longer call yourself a nerd unless you have a DVR of some form - Tivo, Replay TV, or computer (MythTV)..

I got my wife a Replay TV a year ago for Christmas, she loves the crap out of it.

Anyone else here have 40gigs (she is after me to upgrade it) worth of Oprah and Trading Spaces?

We have a ReplayTV 3060 (no monthly fees!!!), ReplayTV 5040 (Commercial Skip and Internet Video Sharing), Tivo series 2, DirecTIVO and 2 TV tuner cards.

LOL.. my Replay TV was full of Trading Spaces when I had a girlfriend.. Now it's full of Star Trek, South Park, Drawn Together, CSI, and other non-pansy shows.
