Just got my retail 3200+

A day after it was supposed to arrive, I finally got my 3200+ s939 winchester 🙂 Well, the bottom of the heatsink has a greay square on it (thermal pad?) Just want to make sure that I have to scrape it off, as I don't want to ruin anything. What do you recommend I use to scrape it if need be? Credit card? Then clean it with what?

Thanks!

😀

Either leave it alone, and install it, or take it off and use thermal paste. Unless you are going to remove it many times, just use it, it works fine, even for OC'ing (except to extremes)

Since I got the AS5, I'll go ahead and use that. Thanks for the quick response. Would scraping it with a credit card be ok? And then give it a wipe with a moist cloth?

well in that case, the best way is , first use a razor blade, then 99% isopropyl alchohol to get the rest.
