Well folks I got my Q8300 today and overclocked it :D
Stock it runs at 2.5Ghz but since this was replacing a E8400 I wanted a little bit more
(GA-EP45-UD3LR + Cooler Master Hyper 212+)
So far I'v got it @ 3.5 Ghz w00t w00t!
Highest temps about 59ºc

CPU Vcore 1.3V from 1.2875V
DRAM Voltage 1.82V from 1.8V

Now I'm trying for 3.6 Ghz just so I can have it where my E8400 ran :D Running LinX now wish me luck! LinX failed at it's 8 - 9 pass :( 3.5 it is for me
Sorry if this sounds like a brag thread. I'm just really proud of myself!

Nice overclock. I stay very modest as my pc is on most of the time. I'd also look at your lowest possible cpu vcore at 400fsb. That seems like the sweet spot with my Q8200 in terms of speed, power and stability.

sounds like a memory or northbridge issue. try giving some more vmch.

I think I'm fine where it sits now
I really don't want to risk ruining either my motherboard or cpu :\

yeah It seems like this is the lowest vcore I can get it

Hmmm... maybe since Intel has selfishly kept the Yorkfield quad CPUs (Q9550/Q9650) overpriced, maybe I'll grab a Q9300 at Micro Center for $139. Might be a nice final LGA 775 upgrade.

thanks....(excuse me for the english, i'm italian)
I have an ASUS p5e3 deluxe...but for daily i use at 3.5ghz, because at 3.6ghz motherboard don't boot and i must use 1.50 v in NB voltage...
