Just got my new PSU...

I am getting ready to build my first homemade computer and I have a question about the PSU I just received. Why does it say AMD Athlon 64 / Athlon 64 FX, Intel Pentium 4 / Prescott?

I hope my assumption is wrong about this, but are those the only processors / cores supported?

It also says Universal 24(20) pin.

it probably has a 4 pin power connector for the cpu. it will work with just about anything that is out now. when the atx specs were changing not all power supplies had the 4 pin power connector so they spec them to work with those processors. what system are you putting it into?

That sounds like a bundled PSU/case package.....be leery of powering too much with those lower quality PSU's that are typically bundled with cases. There are exceptions (and you may have one of those lucky cases) but just keep it in mind.
