Just got my new computer, but having a serious problem...

my spec:

window 98se

amd64 3000+

MSI K8N Neo Platinum nVidia nForce 3 250Gb

1) how can i install the driver for PCI systems management BUs and PCI Universal Serial BUs?

2) is there a firewall in this motherobard? cause when i downloading stuff with bittorrent, the light is yellow. how can i turn the firewall off?

If you haven't done so yet, install at least Service Pack 1. Follow it up by installing the nForce drivers.

After you've done that, go into device manager, and remove both the listings for both the PCI Universal Serial Bus and the PCI Systems Management Bus. Click on the uppermost item in the device manager list (it should be your computer's name), then click ACTION -> SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES.

XP should now pick up both devices correctly.

DOH! I just noticed you're running 98. The above doesn't apply 100%



Try downloading the latest nForce driver from nvidia and see if that gets the USB controller working.
