and it kicks @ss. The only thing i Dont like about it is the fact that it is too easy to change songs, or pause the playback if you do not lock the keys.

The model I got is a 3rd gen 10gb, I got it on ebay for 212 shipped with all headphones, including the remote and USB adapter. Is this a good deal?
 
hope you got the warranty since apple's customer service is fvcking terrible.

Apple Customer Service is the best I've ever used and I've been abusing my iPod for about 8 months now and it still works fine. How can you even claim to know this stuff, what Apple products do you own that you've had to talk to Customer Service about? How long did you have your iPod before it broke? What you don't own any Apple products? ok then.

Yeah my ipod died 20 days outside of warranty. They told me they wouldn't help me.
They also said "if you don't like, don't buy apple products'

I also own an ibook.

what were you saying?

buy a good case, and make sure the ipod doesn't heat up while,
you're charging it. also run the battery all the way down before
charging it up again. use the ac adapter rather than charging it
via the computer, and if you use the computer turn off the firewire
disk mode.

why dont charge from firewire.

And DO NOT run the battery down every time!
 
I use an ipod headphone for my pda. I feel superior tho. my pda can do alot of things, ipod can only play music.
 
i paid retail for mine (minus student discount)

at first i had buyers remorse as $300 is a lot to spend on an mp3 player.

i gave a lot of thought of selling it but i couldnt put myself up to it, i use it on a daily basis now

my battery doesn't charge as strong from the firewire .. so i charge through AC Adapter.

i got a 40 gig. tomorrow im getting some speaks and deck in my car. the deck has an auxillary input so i can use my ipod.
