I have finally seen the errors of my ways
I have always used 3DFX cards in my systems, and this is the first Nvidia based card I have gotten. I know how to properly remove the drivers and registry related items for my existing V3 and also how to remove the existing OpenGL drivers in each game directory. If I do have any problems with the above, then a quick reformat and reinstall of Win98 should fix it.
Here is my system:
Abit BE6-II
Cel 633@950
192mb RAM
Win98 SE
I have the following questions:
(1) Which version of the reference drivers (5.22,6.31, etc) should I use? Or just use the Elsa drivers that come with the card? I play a large range of games that include racing, golf, old RPGs (Fallout/Fallout2) and of course Q1/Q2/Q3/UT/HL.
(2) What utilities or other software is recommended? The only one I can think of so far is IDgamma in order to adjust the brightness in Quake games. Maybe Powerstrip?
Any advice, recommendations, considerations, or links to other pages are appreciated.
