Went and picked up it up from the UPS station at 6:30am (got in thru the side door and they were VERY annoyed) after tracking it all night long.

This is truly amazing ... I thought my 1800FP was good, but the 2001FP blows everything else away! Played a bunch of FPS in 15 minutes increments, no ghosting at all! Sweet 1600x1200 16ms 20" LCD gaming goodness glory be!

The only sucky part is that I have a huge business policy case presentation today and wont be able to play with this baby untill 9:00pm :(

<---- JEALOUS!

Now if only there was a video card out there that could run 1600x1200 with all the eye candy...

Well, I suppose that job helped pay for such an expensive item ;). I'm jealous as well.

How much did it cost when all said and done?

Wow! You're up that early to get the monitor? Man, you're dedicated. Anyways, I'm jealous, I only have the Samsung 172W. I'll want to get a larger LCD!

Cheers!

I got it for $864.10 ... I just couldn't wait for the price to drop to $750 ... and I knew that when the price would hit $750, I wouldn't have the ca$h :D

I have an OC-ed 9800XT (hit 7000+ in 3DMark03) along with a 3.2c @ 3.8, IC7-Max3, 2x512mb HyperX pc3500, 2x74gb Raptors RAID0 and an Audigy2 ZS, yeeeYAY!

Playing UT2K4 1600x1200, all bells and whistles ... GOD, this is like a BJ for my eyes!!!

Only thing is, any1 wanna join me in eating bread & onions for breakfast, lunch & dinner for the next 2 months?

PS - You do realize that Dell is having a 10% off one-day-sale on that monitor today with a $25 stackable coupon, right? $115 could buy a lot of bread and onions.

Nice over clock as well then! I never owned a P4, so I wonder how feasible it is to overclock a 3.0 or a 3.2 to pass 3.6Ghz.

But I guess the 2001FP tops it all off.

I think my 22 CRT owns your 2001FP. :) Still not too shabby of a rig, for an Intel.

I guess I have the best of both worlds... 21" CRT slightly to the right, and 2001FP in Potriat mode to my left =)

Edit: is that 22" CRT from Merkortech.com, by chance? Almoust bought it, but this Sun 21" was a better deal at the time.

I went with the Samsung 213 T (beautiful monitor). I almost went with the Dell..... No dead pixels here and the 21.3" viewable kick a$$ on any 21" CRT viewable area. :)

I decided to save a few hundred $$ and go with the 1901 so that I could run at 1280x1024 with all the effects turned up and get good framerates....still jealous though.
