well got my 2.4b today from googlegear
using kingston pc2700
asus p4pe
intel stock fan
running 2.4b retail @ 3330 air cooled @ 1.63v :Q (set @1.6, mobo sees at 1.63)

chips pack date is 12/23/02 sle6f ? is that c1

i got a few more here with the same pack date, i got 9 more to test ;)

i need a better cooler probably, reg temp is 53c damn it, onload it is like 59c

Alpha Pal 8942T heat sink.As for a Fan any 80x25mm will work great with it.I personally like th Panaflo "High" (Does not support fan monitoring) nice and quite and pushes enough air to cool it down.Arctic Silver 3 spread on very thin like paint.Too much will cause excesive heat.

heh heh, bonkers at it again ;) i remember those times when we were selling overclocked cpus on fs/ft, back when p3 700 was blayzin' @ 1000+ :D , compuwiz1 too!

quite a few p4pe's have it i found (cold boot issue), but my friends (162fsb i believe) doesnt
mabe we got lukcy lol?

Bonkers I have one of the very same processors from Googlegear- 12/23/02. This one appears to be good so far. I'm up to 160 fsb @ default on P95. Going to bump it up a few more mhz in a couple hours.

I also have a Compuwiz 700e. Still running @ over 1000 mhz for more than 2 years..

pay, I backed it down so that I can run my memory @4:5 ratio for more bandwidth. My XMS3200 is hitting its limits at 456DDR (2-3-3-6 setting). It "feels" swifter to run my rig at this setting than @3.536ghz with 1:1 setting. Chip does ~190fsb at ~1.55v so ultimately I'd like to run it at that fsb with 4:5 setting (DDR500 anyone...? :D).

replaced the heatsink with a vantec aeroflow
wow my temp maxes on load at 40c and idles at 34c
this heatsink rocks compared to the junk intel stock fan

You can get a guaranteed C1 2.4B @ excliberPC. With a reseller rating of 10 it's hard to go wrong.

I can't wait for my BH7/2.4B combo to arrive. :D
