We're trying to downgrade our lifestyle lately in terms of financial expenditure/monthly cash flow. Traded in my 2002 Expedition for a Chevy Venture a few weeks ago and last week I traded in our Explorer Sport Trac for this!

I actually got the 2003 model and it was a demo. There's no significant difference between the 03 and 04, but I was able to get a better rebate and mileage allowance on the demo (only had a 2k in mileage on it). It's the 6i version (4 cylinder) but it is a sweet vehicle. Now we're just waiting for the leather and tinted windows to be finished being installed.

I wish buying two brand new cars was a "downgrade in lifestyle" for me.

I know you are being sarcastic, but when you look at it in terms of monthly note expenditure, gas expenditure, insurance and interest it definitely is better.

Damn man, all I want to know is if your wife got PIERCED or NOT?

Well?:camera:

You mean pierce the tongue?

Yes, a couple of weeks ago. Now, I just need her to stop playing with it with her teeth, it's annoying.

Cool. I've owned a few Mazdas now, and they're pretty good cars.

I love my 2001 Protege ES. It looks great, handles great, and it was a great price used. My minimum payment is only $160, and my insurance isn't so bad because I get discounts for ABS, anti-theft, and side airbags.

(congrats)

You know, interestingly enough, I have not seen one other Mazda6 on the road and I live in Houston, so theree's a hell of a lot of cars.

No kidding. My wife and I owned two Saturns until the spring. Once was a small 2000, and the other is a midsized 2002. $1200 every six months for insurance on this mofos. I got rid of the 2000 Saturn (I was primary driver) and bought a 1993 Dakota. Insurance dropped to $1400 per year. The 2000 Saturn was even paid off. Sad.

Seriously considering the 6i now over the 3s. Looks like a 6i, manual, leather, comfort and premium package and a few other bells and whistles MSRPs at about $23k and then some haggling and hopefully an extension on the rebate gets it down to right about $20k or even under 😉
