Just got Leadtek Win2000 Tuner...what capture setting is best?

Specifically, I am looking to capture shows 30 minutes in length (Futurama) and burn them as SVCDs to watch on my stand-alone DVD player.

What capture setting (MPEG2, Uncompressed AVI, SVCD, DVD) would you recommend and why? Ideally, HD space is not an issue, as I have an empty 80gb Maxtor as my slave drive.

I did a few quick recordings using MPEG2 with the Leadtek PVR software, and they look and sound good when I play them back on the computer.

And Another Bump....

I've been wondering this exact same question for a while, but never asked.

anyone, anyone?

As a general rule, capping to uncompressed AVI is less CPU intensive than doing realtime MPEG2 compression, so you should have fewer dropped frames and stutters that way. Compress to MPEG2 afterwards using Nero's MPEG2 plugin or TMPGEnc or whatever.
