I have read that some motherboards dont play nice with ram that wants more than 1.8v and it creates an issue where only a single stick runs at boot and then only single channel is available.

I want to know what midrange board with pcie 16 I can get while avoiding this issue. Anyone else running this ram with the same processor? If so what overclock did you achieve and what board are you using.

That's true, but all you have to do with those motherboards is boot the first time with one stick, then raise the vdimm manually to what the RAM requires.
