Just got in this card to replace my SB Live!. It's pretty cool so far. Lots of connectors (optical in and out are cool. only thing I have that outputs that though is my PS2 and DVD player, which I won't be connecting to the computer). At first I did think that it sounded just a tad worse than the live, but then discovered the equalizer and after just going through the presets I found the Rock generally worked pretty good for me and my listening preferences. It sounds better than the Live! now. Overall I'd say this is a pretty good card.
I do have a TB Santa Cruz on the way as well though just to play around with. My sister needs a new sound card so she might just get whichever of these I like the least.
