Just got this today to pull DVR recordings off my Uverse box so when the hard drive fails in it again I'll still have it. So far I'm horribly disappointed in the software that came with it. Freezes up constantly and wont go fullscreen on my second monitor. I tried their directions to get it to work with Media Center, but all it does is hang on scanning channels.
If anyone has any experience with alternative software, I'd be happy to buy it. Tried SageTV and the video on that and the image broke up and was really distorted. It looked perfectly alright in the Arcsoft TME capture software though. Also tried DVBLink, but MCE doesn't pick up that any of the tuners has a TV signal.
I'm going nuts here. More than happy to throw money at it, but it needs to work. Also, VLC can't open up the capture device either.
