I have not used an instant messenger since ICQ wayyyy back when.

I download gaim - made and AOL account, logged on - etc.

However, when I send an IM to someone on my 'buddy' list it tells me that it can't send it cause they are not online???

I remember on ICQ you could send IM's and they'd be there when the person logged in.

Am I missing something with GAIM?

Thanks

No kidding.
I still think ICQ is the superior protocol. It's a shame that it has fallen out of favor.

that would be trillian

AIM has never had the ability to send messages when someoen was offline, IDK why cause it was kinda cool, however there was also a lot of ICQ spam back in the day,
