Just got Flight Sim X on steam for cheap. what's the best equipment (for relatively cheap) that i could pick up that would help me learn how to fly a plane somewhat realistically?

i'm not talking about FAA approved simulators here, but at least a step above a standard sidewinder joystick.

Depends on what type of aircraft you want to fly and what you consider relatively cheap.

I've been happy with my Saitek Cessna Yoke/Throttle/Rudder setup since it was the closest match to the real thing while I was taking actual flight lessons. (Without spending $$$$)

If you're more into fighters then you'd be better off with a HOTAS setup like the X-52 or X-55.

Be prepared to spend $150-300 though (or more if you really get into it lol). You can buy components individually or as a package from a variety of places like Newegg, Amazon, and even pilot shops like Sporty's.
