Just got FiOS Installed about 10 min ago

I asked about that, they said they would not cap...i've also tested it, I let a torrent go up at 1.5MB/s for a full month, never heard a word.

It's not something I do commonly though.

Well probably with your connection that you're getting there are no caps cus I know you need the bandwidth for all you're running but I know there are caps fort the lesser stuff which is one of the reasons I went FiOS.

$129 per month for the 50/20 connection that i've got, works great..i've had it for a lil over a year now, it's never gone down..then again comcast has always been great for me...I live in 'uptown' Minneapolis, in a rather densely populated area.

Ouch! I'm not sure how far TDS covers, but I'm in Monticello and have 50/30(or 40 maybe?) and it's 39.99/month. You said you're happy with comcast, but you may want to look into that?

We're the town that had an independent fiber network going that got sued by TDS, giving TDS time to roll out their network for roughly half the price. The story was posted a few times on these forums, too. Shitty thing for them to do, but I benefit from it so I'm not going to complain!

That's a typical metro Gig Ethernet connection or an OC-12 or more likely a 48. Pretty common for places of business. Wonder why the upload is slow slow.

Jealous .... I have ATT Uverse , and I can match pretty close to your downstream (they rate it as 18mbit for the highest BW available in my town, but I often get bursts over 25mbit, and consistantly perform around 19-20 mbit.)

That said, my upstream is not 3mbit .... It's always appeared to be just shy of 2mbit ....
