Why would you want to watch that stuff anyway?

I'm not trolling here, I'm genuinely interested in knowing why people choose to watch this stuff.

Enlighten me please. :)

OK thanks for the tip
Couldn't you post a link to something cheerful like a flower show?

Beautiful :D Thanks!

This cop being shot link should be removed. Some things don't need to be posted. One of my good friends is now a State Trooper and I hope he's always safe because he's a good guy. I don't think its proper posting video links to officers being gun down in cold blood. Just my opinion.

is it a financial reason why they don't armor up the cruisers ?

I didn't watch the video. I just feel as though it would be disrespectful to the troopers that I worked with when I was in grad school. If it makes anyone feel any better, the shooter got the death penalty.

"1/31/2000
Gang Training BRUNSWICK, GA ? A jury deliberated for four hours late Saturday and early Sunday before Andrew Brannan was sentenced to death for the killing of a deputy in 1998.

Brannan had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but a jury agreed Friday that Brannan was neither insane nor mentally ill when he killed Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Lyle Dinkheller, 22. They found him guilty.

Deputy Dinkheller had been with the agency for nearly three years at the time of his death. He left behind a wife and an 18-month-old child.

Brannan shot Deputy Dinkheller 10 times after he was stopped on Interstate 16 for speeding.

yea. armored cars are expensive. i think they are atleast around the 100k mark, especially if you want to protect against higher powered guns. engine has to be bigger or boosted to compensate for weight too...

i guess simplier armor of just the front firewall and windshield/front doors is possible though. but still, citizens are cheap you know. tax cuts and all....just how it is

Cop fires how many shots ( i heard many "pops" in rapid succession...that's a handgun, not the shotfgun)..and missed all of them, apparently? Sounds and looks like someone needed more time on the range before being certified to protect the public. He couldn't protect himself.

So Sad this depressed me. I weird part of me wishes I could have been there to help that cop. So sad seeing stuff like that reminds me to not be upset with cops and stuff when they give me a speeding ticket. I must remember they put there lives on the line each day to keep me safe. May his soul rest in Peace. RIP for a Good COP.

well no it sounds like he made the mistake of letting him get back to the truck to get the gun. the article said he had a scuffle with the guy already not once but twice. that should have been enough for him to tazer or bring his side arm out already. but he got back into the car for some reason.... doesn't quite add up. i would think i would have a gun pointed at him after scuffle number one...

Ah, I didn't read that. A "scuffle" with a cop should end up with the perp being cuffed and stuffed or shot and thrown in the trunk. The cop should've attempted to run him off the road w/his cruiser. Crown Vics are pretty substantial vehicles.

...yea not one but two scuffles even. something was not right with the cops handling of the situation. you don't attack a cop even once and get away with it.
