So, I just moved into a new apartment, and I couldn't get satellite, so I picked up cox cable television and decided to get their internet service too. I have their motorola surfboard cable modem hooked up to my Apple Time Capsule via ethernet cable, and my macbook connects to the wifi network from the time capsule just fine. However, other devices can join the wifi network, but cannot go access the internet. Connecting devices to the time capsule via ethernet cable does not work either.
My Time Capsule was operating in bridge mode, so I tried telling it to assign a range of IP addresses instead and also to share a public IP, but in both cases, this only made it so that even my macbook could not access the internet (though it could still join the wifi network).
Is Cox not giving me enough IP addresses for my devices or something? I've tried unplugging and replugging in the cable modem, unplugging and replugging in the time capsule, and doing disconnecting and reconnecting things in every order possible, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas or anyone have similar problems with Cox?
Thanks
