Just got fitted for contacts. Put em on with no problems, although took a couple of tries to take em off.

I was just wondering what brand of contacts are good deal in terms of quality/price? And what's a good cleaning solution?

I don't know much about different brands of contacts, I've only used one. As for solution, it's all the same. I used to use the expensive brand name stuff but the generic stuff is much cheaper and I can't tell the difference.

If you have astigmatism, Cooper Torics run about $60/box for a year's supply of 4 pairs ($120 total) at Costco.

When I first got contacts, I used ReNu No-Rub for about 2 years. I've been using ClearCare for over 5 years now (it's the one with the cage) and to me, it cleans the lenses better than no-rub solutions. If you go with the ClearCare, DO NOT get the un-neutralized solution in your eyes and you'll be fine. It is generally cheaper if you buy a two-pack with a free cage included at Costco.

I've only used Acuvue 2 for the contacts. I use Opti-Free Replenish for the solution. The previous one I used was recalled.

I use Acuvue 2 contacts and equate multipurpose solution. I used the clearcare system for a while and it worked fine, but I just like the convenience of being able to use one bottle of solution for everything.
