just got blood drawn for lab tests

Well, let's hope you're not infested with anything..

Odd though, because I've had blood drawn for such tests before as well, but never experienced dizziness or any other odd symptoms.

hmm...last time i went i almost passed out...i felt like a little girl...

anyway, they jammed this yellow liquid crap down my throat and that fixed me real quick....it tasted really good until i "came back"

I think it was some kind of orange soda + lots of sugar mix...at least that's what it tasted like...

Your problem doesn't relate to the fact that you had blood removed, it relates to your emotional weakness. I bet you faint at the sight of blood.

I heard dizziness after blood drawn is psychological. Someone once told me that when you donate blood, they take 25% of your blood, and that's why you feel dizzy or pass out. That's just not true. Depending on your size, I think most people have something like 20 pints of blood in their system. You shouldn't feel any effects from giving blood.

The Human body stores approximately 9 pints of blood in an average size adult male. In donating blood you can lose about 2 pints without any major effects to your physical condition. After 4 you probably need a blood transfusion.

But taking blood for an average number of blood tests is probably in the neighboor hood of 1-3 test tubes of blood. This is an inconsequential amount.

I had a blood draw once after being SEVERELY dehydrated, I think they took 9 full test tubes of blood. I passed out and had a seizure requiring an emergency room visit and two bags of water pumped into me.
