Would this fan be enough to cool the radiator of the bigwater? The stock Thermaltake fan is just too noticeable. So I put an Antec Tri Cool, and that too is too noticeable, even at 1000 RPM. I guess I'm just becoming a "quiet" snob. What do ya'll think?

I have that fan. It's okay but you probably want something that will move some air. That thing only spins at 1000rpm so it doesn't really do anything.

fact is, when the harddrives spin there will be noise. this is how god intended it, and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

however, they do not spin all the time, so to compromise we like complete silence when possible :)

I just got the bigwater SE too. I concur about the fan noise, too much air push sound for me, I just changed the fan to the stock 120 that came with my sonata II really slow flow but holds my 4400+ stock at 34idle... good enough for now.

I got a question for regarding the pump. I power on and off a few times to get rid of all the air bubbles and it's quiet enough but after 4-5 hours it starts to get louder and louder again with more vibration and noise. It seems like i keep getting air in my pump. Anyone else have this issue? how can i keep my pump quiet?

I thought water cooling was supposed to be more quiet than air but i've gone through an Aquagate MINI R120 and This Bigwater and it's really hard to be happy with these products so far. They all seem so loud. Any thoughts?

Did you make sure all the air is out of the system? Fill up the reservoir to the maximum you can (maybe even tilt the tower backwards to fill in more). The reservoir gave me plashing noises before filling it as much as possible...
Did you move the pump in all directions when running, especially with the tubes to the top?

I tried my best to get all the air out of the system. I shut the thing on and off and move the pump around and tap the tubing to dislodge all the little bubbles after like 5 or so minutes of doing all this and turning on and off it seems like i have all the air out, and the pump is quiet. So i close up shop and let my system run. Then later in the day the air is back in my pump? I've gone through this procedure about 5-6 times in the last few days. Where is this air coming from and how can i get rid of it for good? :-(
