Just Got Back My Fake ACT Scores....Wow!

I'm a sophomore in high school, and I took the "fake" a couple months ago, it's called the PLAN test, and basically it's the ACT except it doesn't count for anything, it just gives you an idea of how well you will probably do on the ACT if you keep going at the rate you are.

I must say I'm pleasently surprised, I'm a decent student, A's, B's, and maybe a C or two. But I got back my results, and I'm in at least the 98% percentile for each subject (or is the top 2% percentile? I dunno, I did better than 98% of the people who took it). My predicted ACT score is 27-31. Not too shabby!

Although, my sister has informed me that in her opinion, the actual ACT is a bit more difficult than the PLAN, but oh well, we'll just have to wait and see.

a friend of mine made one of the very very very very very few perfect scored on the ACT, not just a 36, he didnt miss a single question. getting a 36 on the ACT is much harder than getting a 1600 on SAT

How would you know if you missed a question or not? I thought ETS just hands out tests scores, and not complete results.

dunno, thats what he said, and all the sub scored were perfect. like 18 18 or whatever.

and btw 98th percentile would not be a 31. thats more like a 33 I belive, as a 28 is the 93rd percentile. might be wrong.

I just got my real ACT scores back and I made a 28. It was my second time to take it, my first time I made a 22.

did you pick it up from your school? because I'm a sophomore...and my school is pretty dumb. I found out yesterday that the GSE for "Higher math" aka, above Geometry that the test happened LAST wednesday, the 3rd day back from school. I NEVER heard that it was happening, and I even asked people about it. PLUS, I have alg 3/4 trig right now, silly teachers.....anyways, I don't know if my school will even tell me if they are gonna pass out the scores, so whatever, I hope I did good........

I agree that SAT scores are a bit inflated...

I got a 1370 a few years ago on the SAT
27 on the ACT.

Doesn't matter at all now. :) It's funny how much it mattered at the time.

[Advice] Take both the SAT and ACT in late fall next year. Then re-take them in early fall the following year (senior). You would be surprised on how much improvement you will see over one year. The first time is a practice run. I went from a 1350 to a 1400 on my SAT (dropped in my verbal and nailed the math the second time), but my big jump was my ACT (28 to 32). Anyway, make sure to take it twice. It will help.

Oh, and get the GPA up too. And makeup your bed, and clean your room... What a mess... ;)

Actually I made a 31 on the English section. I might have poor grammer on ATOT, but then who really gives a f_ck?

Ok, I'm stupid. I made a 28 on the English and a 31 on the Reading.

I remember the ACT's.......I thought they were drastically easier than the SAT's. Probably cuz they had more of a science part, which I aced. :) Got a 33 here. Glad UM likes ACT scores, since I didn't care about my SATs, and the score showed. ^_^

Took the ACT twice fall quarter of my senior year. The first test was so hard I actually did dumber on the second one, dropped from a 32 to a 31 :p It's true, SAT is crap compared to the ACT, you actually feel pressured.

i don't think the sats/acts matter much. the gpa is probably the biggest thing.. too bad i abandoned that philosophy once i got into college. now i won't get a job. ;)

The ACT was weird when I took it. The first time I took it I got like a low 20something in the science part. The second time, with no studying on the science part, I somehow got a perfect! I got a 34 overall.
