meh, I'm a bit buzzed at ze moment! Hopefully I'll have a clear head tomorrow morning (I do need to be at work at 8:30!)
Anyways, I just got back from the inagural Wachovia Championship here in Charlotte, NC (PGA Tour event.) David Toms may have been the winner, but MY GOD he was a TOTAL LOSER on the last hole (but it was actually pretty funny to watch!!!) I guess it shows that a good solid lead in golf can be erased at any minute. I doubt he cared, though. Even a quad bogie couldn't keep him from the $1,000,000 top prize.
I do have pics to share...though unfortunately I couldn't get shots of everyone because it kept raining off and on (and we didn't bring umbrellas!) By far one of the most impressive sights to behold is Rick Hendrick's house on the 7th hole...I swear his house is bigger than the country club!!! The rain DID give me a chance to catch up with an old friend...who DID have access to the executive club tents (w00t! free food and drinks and tent seating!!!!) Vijay Singh was pretty fun to watch until the 17th hole...when he picked a weak 6 iron and couldn't clear the water hazard.
Enough rambling on about golf. Suffice it to say that I've never really played, never really cared, but thoroughly enjoyed this event (and I can't wait till next year!) The PGA Tour DOES belong in Charlotte.
:camera:'s:
17th hole (with the big water hazard!)
The 18th hole (the toughest finishing hole on the PGA tour so far this year)
Fred Couples warming up with his club
The leaderboard just before 4PM
I crossed the rope onto the fairway to get this shot! :Q 😉
I believe this is Chalmer getting ready to putt on 17
By Jobe I think he's got it!
Choi gettin' ready to chip onto the green
