Just got back from Times Square

Yup just got back from Times Square for New Years. We had a blast. I am brand new to photography. I got myself an XTi for xmas and haven't had a chance to learn all the settings and how to use them, but I did manage to snap a few pics on full auto setting.

Sounds like fun. Nice overhead shot, where'd you take it from? And the one of the police with the assault rifles is a nice sign of the times shot.

The overhead shot was me holding the camera up over my head standing on my toes 🙂 We saw a ton of cops there, we were standing in a fenced in area and could only see one corner of a block and there must have been 50+ cops there. I don't even want to try to count how many were there total. But that was the only SWAT that we saw, they came walking through, then about 10 minutes later they brought in the Tahoe with more SWAT in it
