Just got back from the RJD2 Concert in D.C.

Me: so you gonna dis...
*girl interupts me*
Me: so you gonna distributat thing or what?😀
*point to bootleg minidisc some dude made of tonights and presented to RJD2*
RJD2: Not sure...
*everyone including RJD2 looks at the guy who made the bootleg with a grin waiting for confirmation*

😀

It was a great concert.

Started out with MC Copywrite and his DJ..it was decent....not great though...

Sharkey was pretty good....did some wicked stuff with the beatles and stuff😀 He wasn't perfect and fvked up a few transitions here and there but overall he was pretty impressive

RJD2 was just unreal though. Like I kept tellign everybody, "he was like a mahcine..hell, he was betta"

Sometimes DJs get lost in demonstrating their skillz or resort to a nice chill mix so they don't have to try so hard but RJ...damn...he was ripping it up the entire time.

Best of all, he was sort of freestyling, intermittently intertwing his songs....so smooth though...like BUTTA😛

10/10 and in a heartbeat, I would do it again.

The evenings tragedy:

I got a signed bill and he signed my ticket too, but on my way to ask if any of his CDs were left for sale, I dropped the ticket.....

yeah yeah, the psoter is infinitely more presentable, mor menaingful and more valuable ( let's hope😀) but I have this thign about ticket stubs..I love saving them🙁

Where in DC was the show? Haven't been in the "urrea" since 99-00, when the Garage, Errico's and some other spots on U St. (I think) were still doin' open mics / weekly battles... had a decent lil scene down there at the time...
