I clouded up by the morning when my alarm went off.

Oh well, I really did enjoy last years, and it's something I won't forget.

partly cloudy here in Utah, but I saw hundreds

got up at 2:30 am and drove up the canyon to a lake

positioned the Durango to block the full moon, laid down an air mattress with some sleeping bags, and watched the sky for about 90 minutes

from 3 to 4 am, they were coming down constantly

great experience!!!!!!!

I was dragging my arss on the mtn bike ride today, though

:| Pennsylvania is too far east to catch the show. :| :| :| I sure miss being able to see shooting stars, and sometimes the aurora bourialis, and the sheet lightning, and the waterfalls. :(

No way, dude. Between 5AM and 6AM, I saw 40 or 50 and that was just sitting on the stoop of my apartment in Montgomery County. I'm very close to Philly, KOP, Conshy and some other larger towns, and my building resides on fairly busy and well-lit intersection.

I was impressed at just how many I saw considering the poor viewing conditions.

Huge letdown for me. I saw none in 45 mins in Northern NJ at around 4:45AM.

Every year they say that so and so meteor shower will be the best one in 100 years. Only good one I've seen was one maybe 2 years ago and I saw about one meteor every 15 secs.

What time was that? I went to Tilden park from 12:30 to 3:00 and saw ten MAYBE! Total waste of time for me, plus I froze my ass off in the process.

I went out for a while. I saw one meteor and a planet with 4 moons in the east. Any idea what planet that would be?

I went up near Mt. Wilson in the LA area. We were out there about an hour and a half, freezing our butts off, but it was really cool. Definitely worth it, I'd go back up to watch them there anytime.

Could be Jupiter or Saturn.

Jupiter

you could have seen Saturn to the west, towards the moon
