Just got back from D.C. (PICS!!)

Awesome trip. Took lots of pics (about 300 of 'em), saw lots of moving scenery/memorials, and gained lots of memories. Ate lots of good food too...DC Chinatown > *.

EDIT: pics of the changing of the guard are HERE.

EDIT: MORE PICS!
State Dept. 1
State Dept. 2
Korea 1
Korea 2
Korea 3

------------------------------
Panorama of the White House (1.3 MB)
The Capitol dome
AWESOME pic during the guard change at the Tomb of the Unknowns
Gravestones @ Arlington
Pic of some names from The Wall...had to wait a LONG time to get a pic with no one in it
From Teddy Roosevelt Island (if you've never been here, you NEED to go...best presidential memorial EVAR)
Teddy's Statue...what a perfect setting for a president who loved nature
Cadillac belonging to a Missouri Senator
Another pic from Teddy's Island
The U.S. Supreme Court

Warning...sad stuff below:

A poignant note from The Wall. Despite any feelings for or against the Vietnam War, it's tough not to break up when reading this. I walked away from taking this picture with tears streaming down my face.

A note from a neice to a great uncle she never knew.

If you've got any requests for pics, I've probably got 'em. WWII memorial, Korea Memorial, etc. PM me and I'll see if I've got 'em.

Wish I was there, I'd appreciate it a lot more than I did the last time I went in 8th grade.

DC is overrated. i guess living 2 mins from the MD/DC line kind of makes DC get old quickly.

i am so sick of going out down in DC, i hardly go out anymore down there because its the same crap every time lol. and i'm 23 btw.

Funny I have passed the TR Island entrance hundreds of times and never been there.

We live 20 miles away but never go downtown. We really should.

BTW, there are some excellent shots in there!
