Just got back from a heavy metal concert - triple bill! Awesome!

I went to see Skid Row, Vince Neil and Poison (in that order) at our local venue.

What a great show! Skid Row was tight and played strong as the opening act. I even got to shake hands with Johnny Solinger (singer) as he toured the audience. That was way cool.

Vince Neil was awesome. He performed with the energy of a 25 year old. 2 members of his band are Canadian by the way. A great set and they really rocked the house.

When Poison hit the stage the whole place went nuts. Brett Micheals was superb as were the rest of the band (CC, Ricky, and Bobby). Poison was electrifying on stage. They really got the audience worked up. Opening song was Look What the Cat Dragged In. The light show and the pyro were great as well. A great moment came when he asked for a Canadian flag being held up by a fan. He took the flag and draped it over the centre drum. It was a great set.

There were approximately 5000 people in attendance. I was very impressed with both the arena and the performers. I had a great time.

My ears are still ringing though. ;}

Nice. But Skid Row just isn't the same without Sebastian Bach singing. That mutha can belt out some notes!

I went to Ozzfest at PNC Arts Center in NJ last night. OMFG I got my ass kicked so hard by those bands that I'm still hurting! I got there later at like 5:30, but the big names were going on at that time. Ozzy, Manson, Korn, all of them were friggin AWESOME!

But $30 for a tshirt ain't right man. I didn't buy one, but people were getting ripped in that deal.

Skid Row was probably my favorite metal band to come out of the 80's...not counting Metallica. Slave to the Grind was just a rocking album.

This concert is hitting my town in a week or two.

Don't forget Monkey Business. That was another great Skid Row tune. They were pretty badass back then. Too bad they never got the respect they deserved. Got kind of lost in the glut of hair bands and lumped into the group with the "also ran"s.

They played the tracks Slave to the Grind and Monkey Business. Great songs to hear live.

Monkey Business was on Slave to the Grind.

And I agree... Skid Row was an awesome band!

(But no Sebastian Bach??? What's the point?
