A dear friend of mine, Jeffrey LaDeur, put on a piano recital today at Wheaton College. He played for about 2 hours total, the program included works by J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Scriabin, Brahms, Chopin, and Debussy. Absolutely amazing playing. Exquisitely beautiful.
He's my age, 15 years old, and plays so incredibly well...I can't describe it. You'd have to hear him. I've studied piano my whole life, it's my only passion, I work so hard at it. But this kid just blows me away. He got a standing ovation from the 200 or so people in attendance, and even played an encore.
Remember the name Jeffrey LaDeur, folks. One day, I'll be saying "I knew him when..."
